~ I hate long messages ~

I am not a writer… but sometimes love to write for myself or for my close people.

A friend used to say, it like punishment to read what I wrote…because…. sometimes it's too big, even one of them started praying that it will be a great blessing if someone invented word compressor to compress my words…..…

Therefore I think I have to stop to make only my close people got headache and I decided to let other read my writings, expand my talent to make more people get headache…:)

The truth is… muslimah should able to do anything [even the smalest things that she can do for Islam]. Writing is a tradition of our previous scholars… imam Syaukani was advised by his teacher to write even if only 2 lines everyday….He did that advice and we know who is he, he wrote many high quality big books and one of them a monumental book of Nailul Authar..

There are many great scholars like Shaikh Ibnu Taymiyyah….Ibnu Qayyim… Ibnu Katsir, Imam Bukhari… just mention some of them…..

A Ustadz told me about Shaikhul Islam Ibnu taymiyyah, He said If we compare the number of Shaikh Ibnu taymiyyah's writings with the length of his life, we just very wonder how he seems use most of his time for writing, it seems he could product one risalah [book] everyday… subhanallah…..

Imam Bukhari… He traveled a lot to collect hadith… Subhanallah…. He is a master in hadith, it hardly to find a mistake from him, he seems know all hadith…His friends often tested his memory and his knowledge about hadith, but he always answered them well…… .Once time his friend conveyed him a hadith and Imam Bukhari said he doesn’t know that hadith…His friends so happy finally they find a hadith that imam Bukhari doesn’t know… They met their teacher and said about this….

But His teacher just simply said…. If there is hadith that Bukhari doesn’t know.. then it is not a hadith…. Subhanallah…..

This is our great pervious generation…They always persistent in thollabul ilmy [study], memorize it, write it, apply it in their daily life and teach it to other....They always thirst of knowledge and spend their wealth for more and more knowledge.....

We owe so much from them through their great works …

The goodness of someone make him has long life…… because even if they have departed this world…. People still can get benefit from their goodness…. People still can take benefit from their works… They keep teaching other through their writings….their knowledge spread from one generation to another generation…….It’s continuous righteous deeds… that will grow and grow…be goodness of other and the goodness of the giver……

That was long long time ago…

What happening now?

We find the summaries of tafseer…
The summaries of the hadist
The summarizes of Shirah…

All being summarized…

Those summaries are made by some scholars… to help our generations who “TOO” busy to learn those big kitab [books]… At least they wish the young generations can read the “summarizes” if they cant read the original ones…

What we think …

Agh.. We hate long messages, anytime we see the emails too long to read.. We will simple skip them or sent it to the trash bins, lets alone read the books… We hate big books [even the summarizes still too big to read]…

I am just too busy… I don’t have time to read…

What the fact ....

We do have time to watch the hours of Titanic… every new coming of Bollywood or Hollywood movies…
We can complete a big novel in one sit…even we don’t feel mind lost our sleep for complete it…….
We do have a lot of time to go eat in the café.. chit chat.. gossiping.. with friends…
We do have time do “chatting”….. flirting to the opposite genders on the net…
We do have time to do hours shopping..
We do sleep too much…
We are busy in study
We are busy with our works
Etc ….

All of us always have “REASONS” to make ourselves sound “BUSY”
We do read it sometimes… We do learn “SOMESTIMES” ……”WHEN we have TIME”
We do go to religious assembly “SOMETIMES”……….”WHEN we have TIME”

But

We do manage time to go to cinema….
We do manage time to go clubbing…
We do manage time to go to gym…..
We do manage time to go to manicure and pedicure…

Astaghfirullah…

Why we do not let ourselves give time to study the deen….
Why we do not make it in schedule..
Can we write so many books like what they did ?

If we do not have time to read… let alone contribution in writing like our pious predecessors..
At least all we have to do…. Just read…

Even if we don’t have time to read, there are many lecture available in audio format..we simply can listen it while we doing our works instead of "music"

All things are easier nowadays…

Ibnu Abas used to sleep in front of the doors of other companions because he want to write their wisdoms…

At Tabari asked the letter to write the “do’a and the hadist” from a scholar that visited him while he was sick even if he was nearly to death….

My dear brothers and sisters…

If anytime you find long messages.. please do not be mad…. You may consider they are not important and bored… but they may really urgent needed by other sisters and brothers…. Think the new learners who thirst the knowledge..

You refused those messages because you do not have times to read… but other need it because they need them…

You may can just delete them if you do not like them… or you can save them and take a look it later when you have time….

Anytime you find the long messages… all you need just read… At least do think the effort of the one who compose it for you…… You do not need to compose it… you just simply need read it if you like…

Wallahualam bishshowab….

Subhanakallahumma wabihamdika ashadu ala ilaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaika…
