~Why Moslem should be Rich ?~

A sister just got a call, she was hired to join a big company with very good salary… Some other sisters who were listening her conversation they saying ta’bir [ Allah is great].. Hamdallah.. praise Allah..

The first thing that they said to that sister was . “Alhamdulillah Allah give you chance to give more for charity…”

Subhanallah…..

There is a beautiful hadist that was narrated by Abu Dharr radiyallahuan
[1] [one of companion who was very poor]… Abu Dharr said some of Companions [poor companions] came to Rasulullah sallahu alahi wassalam… they want to share their complaint/their envy about the rich people [among the other companions]…

They said :

“They [their rich brothers] observe prayer as we do, they keep the fasts as we keep them, and they give sadaqah from their surplus riches. “

At this point those poor companions felt some steps behind the rich companions because they do not have money to do charity like Rich companions do…..

Upon this Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassalam said:

“Has Allah not prescribed for you (a course) by following which you can (also) do sadaqah?
In every declaration of the glorification of Allah (i.e. saying SubhanAllah) there is a sadaqah,
every Takbir (i.e. saying AllahuAkbar) is a sadaqah,
every praise of Him (saying Alhamdulillah) is a sadaqah,
every declaration that He is One (La ilaha illallah) is sadaqah,
enjoining of good is a sadaqah,
forbidding of that which is evil is a Sadaqah,
and in man's sexual intercourse (with his wife) there is a Sadaqah.

According to sharah of this hadist [the tafseer of the hadist], after heard that hadith Prophet companions were very happy… They went home and practice what Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassalam advised…. They increase did tasbih, takbir, tahmid wish Allah account them as Sadaqah.

Somehow rich companions knew this hadith… they hastily practice what poor companions had been practicing too…

Those poor companions came to met Rasulullah again. They said Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassalam that rich companions also practice his advice…

Upon this matter… Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassalam was smiled and said that the benefit .. that Allah bless toward the rich people… [2]

Subhanallah

It was wonderful.. long time ago.. at the time of Rasulullah.. the companions always race to do righteous deeds..They competed in the good way, tried to find ways how to please Allah more.

The poor asked Rasulullah how to be equal like the rich companions in the sight of Allah…. When the Rich companions knew the advice of Rasulullah to their fellow poor brothers, they also didn’t want to lost the chance to do more righteous deeds that can make them better in the sight of Allah subhana wata'ala…

The spirit to race in the goodness made the poor companions met Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassalam again... wish Rasulullah could say any other advice to make them leading in righteous deeds… wallahu alam…

They raced to do righteous deeds as much as possible… it’s not strange at that time ....rich companions gave most of their wealth for charity….Abu Bakr As Siddiq gave all his wealth, Ustman bin Afan bought the well for Moslem…Abdurrahman bin Auf donated all his merchandise….They were conglomerate who always spend their wealth in the way of Allah…
They are the noble example how keep their wealth on their hands.. ..not keep it inside their heart… then anytime when they see chances to give charity it always easy to let them go, they were happy for that….. They felt the joy spent their money in the way of Allah subhan wata'ala....

Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassalam never disappointed the poor companions from Abu Huraira radiyallahuan was reported Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassalam said

"Every bone of men's fingers and toes must give sadaqa every day the sun rises.
If one gives justice between two men it is sadaqa;
if one helps a man with his beast, loading or lifting his goods on it, it is sadaqa;
a good word is sadaqa;
every step one takes towards prayer is sadaqa;
and if anyone removes anything injurious from the road it is sadaqa."
[3]

Poor companions..... at that time...... never use their poverty as the reason to left behind in righteous deeds.. They asked Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassalm what kind righteous deeds that they can do to please Allah subhana wata’ala..
There is always the way for them who sincerely want to gain the pleasure of Allah.

So...one of the reason why Moslem should be rich… to give more charity… to be able to do more of things with his money to please Allah.. to spend it in the way of Allah… To spend our money first to help our close people….like what Allah says : “They ask thee what they should spend (In charity). Say: Whatever ye spend that is good, is for parents and kindred and orphans and those in want and for wayfarers. And whatever ye do that is good, -(Allah) knoweth it well “.[4]

There is a hadist that record by Iman Al Bukhari
[5]. One of beloved companion Rasulullah sallahu alihiwassalm - Saad bin Abi Waqqas was striken by an ailment that lead him to the verge of death. The prophet sallahu alaihi wassalam came to visit him. When Saad Radiyallah an saw Rasulullah there was an interesting conversation between them…

Saad said : "O Allah's Apostle! I have much property and no heir except my single daughter. Shall I give two-thirds of my property in charity?"
Rasuluallah sallahu alaihi wassalam said : "No."
Saad said : "Half of it?"
Rasuluallah sallahu alaihi wassalam said : "No."
Saat said, "One-third of it?"

Rasuluallah sallahu alaihi wassalam said: "You may do so, though one-third is also too much, for it is better for you to leave your offspring wealthy than to leave them poor, asking others for help. And whatever you spend (for Allah's sake) you will be rewarded for it, even for a morsel of food which you may put in the mouth of your wife."

The last answer of prophet sallahu alaihi wassalam is another reason why Moslem should be rich….. that was said it’s better we leave our offspring wealthy than to leave them poor asking other for help….

The rich people lead forward than the poor. Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassalam forbid us to be envy except to the rich people who spend their money in the way of Allah.. and people who have knowledge and they teach it to other.

May Allah subhana wata’ala help all of us always to be strong financially then we can follow our role model salafussholeh who always race in the good deeds….

May Allah open our heart to feel the same joy like our role model salafus sholeh when we see the bigger amount of money that we have to spend for the zakah and infaq.

May Allah help us to get rid our greedy to keep money just to enrich ourselves when there are many people who direly need them.

May Allah guide our heart to spent our wealth in the way of Allah to safe us from the grievous Penalty
"O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty?- That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that ye strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! [6]

Say:
"Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds:[7]

Wallahu alam bishshowab….

i just want to say the poor enter jannat 500 yrs b4 rich.
we dont necessarily be rich.

Knowledge (Kitab Al-Ilm)
Dawud :: Book 25 : Hadith 3658
Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri:

I was sitting in the company of the poor members of the emigrants. Some of them were sitting together because of lack of clothing while a reader was reciting to us. All of a sudden the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) came along and stood beside us. When the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) stood, the reader stopped and greeted him.

He asked: What were you doing? We said: Apostle of Allah! We had a reader who was reciting to us and we were listening to the Book of Allah, the Exalted.

The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) then said: Praise be to Allah Who has put among my people those with whom I have been ordered to stay. The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) then sat among us so as to be like one of us, and when he had made a sign with his hand they sat in a circle with their faces turned towards him.

The narrator said: I think that the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) did not recognize any of them except me.

The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) then said: Rejoice, you group of poor emigrants, in the announcement that you will have perfect light on the Day of Resurrection. You will enter Paradise half a day before the rich, and that is five hundred years.

Dear Sister Aqsa

It’s true we do not necessary to be rich … what it extremely necessary is…. to be rich to get the chance to spend our wealth in the way of Allah..

Allah subahana wata’ala test us both in Wealth and Poverty. There will be no poor people enter the Jannah faster if they do not pass the test patiently :-) Every test and trial either raises our ranks or decreases our rank in the sight of Allah subhana wata’ala.

The rich people late some year to enter the Jannah because they have to wait his/her wealth being hisab by Allah :-) As soon as we are resurrected from the grave we will be asked about 5 things. Two of them are related to money . about how did he earn it? what did he spend it on? [HR Tirmidhi]….. In case of poor people.. they do not have anything to be hisab in this regard :-) ] …. Wallahu alam

Imagine what if the rich spend all their wealth in the way of Allah… subhanallah.. how admirable the wealth of righteous slaves in the sight of Allah… Indeed that why Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassalam not allow us to be envy except to them who have knowledge and teach it to other and for them who bless with wealth and spend it on the way of Allah…

There were rich and there were poor companions in the time Rasulullah.. They are the best qudwah.. [role model] how have to behave [in both of situations]…. Subhanallah… I believe none of them prays to be poor then they can enter the Jannah fast :-)

I believe everyone who remember the hadith that narrated by Abu Darr …..They must always feel the same envy like the poor companions… to find the maximal sources to do more righteous deeds in the way of Allah… just like the rich companions… inshaAllah

In one of Naration…Rasulllah sallahu alaihi wassalam said to Abdurrahman bin ‘Auf.. he now a rich man, he going to enter Jannah crawly. Rasulullah salallahu alaihi wassalam advice him to spend his wealth in the way of Allah…. … Since that day Abdurrahman increase his righteous deeds and give more for charity… He donates all his merchandise Abdurrahman said to Aishah radiyallah anha… He want to enter Jannah by walk..

When Abdur Rahman bin ‘Auf came to Madinah, he didn’t have anything… . It is related that when he came to Madinah his Ansar brother Sa 'ad proposed to give half of his property to him. Abdur Rahman thanked his brother and said that he did not need his property or any of his wives. He merely wanted him to show him the way to the market, and he would make his own fortune. Here is the izzah [dignity] of a Moslem…. Who do not want to depend on other and do not take the advantage the generosity of his brother… Soon Abdur Rahman was able to build a great fortune. He amassed considerable wealth and came to be regarded as one of the richest men in Madina. He was a trader and a shrewd businessman…. Subhana wata’ala…

In one narration… : At time one of a rich companion in Madinah [Abu Thalhah – if I am not wrong, please correct me] knew Allah subhana wata’ala says : “By no means shall ye attain righteousness unless ye give (freely) of that which ye love; and whatever ye give, of a truth Allah knoweth it well”. [Ali Imran 3:92], he said to Rasulullah one of the wealth that he love so much is his garden… he wanted to give it to Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassalam to spend it in the way of Allah… Rasullah instead accept his offer… Rasullah sallahu alaihi wassallam told him to give it to his close people..

MashaAllah.. that one more example how the spirit of the companion to spend his wealth by the right guideline from Allah subhana wata’ala….. it extremely hard to spend something that we love… wallahualam..

Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wassallam divided people into four concerning the wealth.

The first is a person whom Allah has blessed with money and knowledge, so he fears Allah with regards to it, and he uses it to support his relatives, and he gives Allah's rights on it. So this person is the highest in rank.

The second is a person whom Allah has blessed knowledge , but he does not have money. So he has a sincere intention. He says, 'If only I had money, I would do as so and-so does (the first person).' He will be rewarded for his intention, and his reward is the same (as the first person's).

The third is a person whom Allah gave money, but did not give any knowledge. So he is involved in his money without any knowledge (i.e gaining it through improper means and spending it on improper things). He does not fear his Lord regarding it, nor does he fulfill the ties of kinship with it. He does not know the rights of Allah upon it. So this person is at the filthiest status.

The fourth is a person whom Allah gave neither money nor knowledge. He says, 'If only, I had money, I would do like so-and-so (the third person) does.' He will be punished for his intention, and his sin is the same as the third person's. [HR Tirmidhi, Ahmad]

The richness is a great blessing, but it also great trials, Allah subhana wata’ala says “Your wealth and your children are only a trial (fitnah). And Allah, with Him is a great reward ( Paradise ). [Qur’an At Tagabun 64:15].”

Wallahualam bishshowab…

By the way……. Jazakallah khair for some brothers and sisters who forward me and offer me the opportunity to give the charity in their institutions… But truly speaking at this moment I can’t response each of them…..Pray that I am going to be rich girl soon… :)…

May Allah bless us more with the wealth that we can spend in the way of Allah

Subhanakallahumma wabihamdika ashadu ala ilaha illa anta ataughfiruka wa atubu ilaika

excerpt from the below hadith..........

The rich are in fact the poor (little rewarded) on the Day of Resurrection except those who spend their wealth like this, and like this, and like this, to their right, left and back, but such people are few in number." ..........
To make the Heart Tender (Ar-Riqaq)
Bukhari :: Book 8 :: Volume 76 :: Hadith 451

Narrated Abu Dhar:
While I was walking with the Prophet in the Harra of Medina, Uhud came in sight. The Prophet said, "O Abu Dhar!" I said, "Labbaik, O Allah's Apostle!" He said, "I would not like to have gold equal to this mountain of Uhud, unless nothing of it, not even a single Dinar of it remains with me for more than three days, except something which I will keep for repaying debts. I would have spent all of it (distributed it) amongst Allah's Slaves like this, and like this, and like this." The Prophet pointed out with his hand towards his right, his left and his back (while illustrating it). He proceeded with his walk and said, "The rich are in fact the poor (little rewarded) on the Day of Resurrection except those who spend their wealth like this, and like this, and like this, to their right, left and back, but such people are few in number." Then he said to me, "Stay at your place and do not leave it till I come back." Then he proceeded in the darkness of the night till he went out of sight, and then I heard a loud voice, and was afraid that something might have happened to the Prophet .1 intended to go to him, but I remembered what he had said to me, i.e. 'Don't leave your place till I come back to you,' so I remained at my place till he came back to me. I said, "O Allah's Apostle! I heard a voice and I was afraid." So I mentioned the whole story to him. He said, "Did you hear it?" I replied, "Yes." He said, "It was Gabriel who came to me and said, 'Whoever died without joining others in worship with Allah, will enter Paradise.' I asked (Gabriel), 'Even if he had committed theft or committed illegal sexual intercourse? Gabriel said, 'Yes, even if he had committed theft or committed illegal sexual intercourse."

IN BIOGRAPHIES OF COMPANIONS,THERE WERE SUCH SAHABA WHO WERE VERY POOR WILLINGLY.

Dearest Sister Aqsa...

First at all afwan.. I accidently puss the wrong button then we lost your email...Alhamdulillah I have copied them ... that why I am sending this response under my ID... :) Afwan sis...

MashaAllah.. indeed... The rich moslem shall have the spirit to be part of those small group who spend their wealth in the way of Allah... to be happy include in the exception.... those who spend their wealth like this, and like this, and like this, to their right, left and back... lahaula walla quwata ala billah...

In the shirah of Prophet companions...the noble companions some of them are very poor... they accepted their life willingly due of their zuhud, content... grateful.. Allah subhana wata’ala says : "…..If ye are grateful, I will add more (favors) unto you; But if ye show ingratitude, truly My punishment is terrible indeed." [HQ: 14:7]...

They are indeed the best example for all of us how to deal in both conditions [poverty and rich...as both are tests from Allah]...
